Under the terms of the contract, Suzlon will supply 48 units of its robust S97-120m wind turbine generators (WTG) for the project being developed at the Bhesada wind site, Jaisalmer district.

The company will also oversee operations, maintenance and service of the wind site over the contracted period.

ReNew Wind Power chairman and CEO Sumant Sinha said: "This deal reinforces our commitment to developing sustainable energy solutions for India. Our partnership with Suzlon has added momentum to this mission."

The 120m height S97-120 WTG has been designed to provide higher energy productivity while harnessing the optimal available wind resources.

Suzlon Energy chairman Tulsi Tanti said: "We continue to create innovative and reliable products as with the S97-120m which is specifically made for low wind sites.

"Our mission is to make profitable and efficient wind energy accessible within the country."

Suzlon is already under a contract with ReNew Wind Power to supply turbine generators for more than 100MW of wind farms which are located in the Indian states of Gujarat and Maharashtra.

The order follows a recent contract to Suzlon from ReNew Power to supply S97 90m WTGs for 90MW wind farm at Ellutla site in Ananthpur district, Andhra Pradesh.
