The company’s 13th international rentals office, the new 3000ft2 depot will offer specialized engineering services, machinist and welder training, and a full line of precision on-site machining and welding equipment. This equipment is widely used across Europe by contractors in turbine repair and outage maintenance for power generation, and construction/heavy industry.

Paul Burden has been named managing director for the new facility, and will report directly to Willi Saric, managing director of Climax’s European Operations. In his position, Burden will oversee business growth, training, and a team of sales and rentals experts.

Burden and his team will work closely with customers to help select the optimal equipment and accessories that will enable them to complete their repair and maintenance projects in the safest and most efficient manner. Climax design engineers can also train customers on safe operation techniques either at the UK depot or on the job-site.

The new UK facility will supply a variety of portable machine tools and welding systems for sale or rent. These tools including portable boring machines; flange facers; lathes; and the company’s newest milling machines – the LM6200 and LM5200 – that can perform both linear milling and gantry milling. The company’s AutoBoreWelders and AutoCladders will also be available.
