ABY had voluntarily initiated a suspension of operations following the unfortunate fatality which occurred in the evening of 11 May 2015, pending completion of investigations.
Inspection of the site was conducted earlier by a senior manage ment team to ensure operations could recommence in a safe manner .
The Company extended full cooperation and provided all necessary assistance to the Police and Department of Mines and Petroleum to carry out their investigations.
Counselling services have been made available to affected workmates and other employees and have been extended to family and friends.
