The Phase 2 of Kizomba project is a subsea infrastructure development of the Kakocha, Bavuca and Mondo South fields, located approximately 150km off the coast of Angola in water depths of around 1,350m.

Production began at Kizomba Satellites Phase 1 in 2012.

The Phase 2 project produces approximately 190 million barrels of oil and is expected to have a peak production capacity of 70,000 barrels of oil per day, thus increasing total daily production capacity of Block 15 to 350,000 barrels.

Tied back to the existing Kizomba B and Mondo floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels, the phase 2 development involves subsea wells, FPSO topside modifications and installation of flowlines and subsea equipment.

Mondo South was the first field in the development to begin production. The other two satellite fields will come online in the coming months.
ExxonMobil has invested a total of nearly $740m in Angola for the project.

The company operates Block 15 with a 40% stake while other partners include BP Exploration Angola (26.67%), Eni Exploration Angola (20%), and Statoil Angola Block 15 (13.33%).
