Germany • Siemens has announced orders worth $774 million for generators and turbines for Spain, Taiwan, Vietnam and Germany. In Spain, the company is supplying a 750 MW station at the site of the Campo de Gibraltar refinery. This station is due to enter service by late 2003. In Taiwan, the Germany manufacturer is supplying a 460 MW plant to Kuo Kuang Power Co Ltd, with operation again due in 2003. The Vietnam project involves a 700 MW plant for BP with no commencement data announced, while in Germany Siemens is building a 275 MW steam turbine for a ThyssenKrupp steel plant in Duisburg.
