The sale is first of a series of Gunvor’s planned Russian asset divestment.

Financial details of the transaction were undisclosed.

Financial Times cited the company as saying: "The sale is a part of Gunvor’s ongoing diversification strategy to rebalance its Russian and global asset portfolio.

"Since a significant portion of the company’s investments are in Russia, over time Gunvor will sell selectively part of those assets."
Kolmar operates several mines in the East Siberian Chulmakan and Denisovsky coalfields as well as licenses for open pit and underground mining production.
