The plant, to be built at Fawley, on the south coast of England, will be the fifth such plant in the country.
The first four plants are designed to destroy carcasses of cattle over 30 months in age, part of a European Commission sponsored plan to attempt to eradicate BSE in the UK.
The current foot-and-mouth disease epidemic has massively increased the number of carcasses to be destroyed. It is hoped the new plant will eventually help ease this problem too.
The new plant has been commissioned from Shanks, a waste disposal company. It is expected to enter service in August.
