In this paper, according to the three-dimensional finite element simulation calculation on the temperature and stress field of an RCC dam with different schemes based on a practical project, research has been carried out on the distribution of the temperature field and stress field in a dam with pipe cooling and quantitative analysis on the effect of pipe cooling on the temperature field and stress field of a dam. The results indicate that using pipe cooling on parts of the dam with a high temperature can improve the distribution of temperature in the dam, and can also eliminate peak temperature and lower temperature. This study provides practical referencing value on the temperature control in the design and construction of a concrete gravity dam.
