Energoproekt Hydropower, which has 80 staff, is the country’s leading consultant in the hydro power sector, said Sweco in a statement.
At the end of last year the firm bought Lithuanian hydro power consultant Hidroprojektas, based in Kaunas with 175 staff.
With the latest acquisition Sweco said it will have approximately 1,100 consultants in central and eastern Europe – in Lithuania, Estonia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic – and Russia. Three years ago it has 100 employees in the region.
