Under the terms of the contract, Nordex will supply a total of 15 N100/2500 and N117/2400 turbines to Ottelin wind farm in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, Mabbach-Volkershausen and Insingen wind farms in Bavaria.

The company will supply and install eight N100/2500 turbines at Enertrag’s Ottelin project in summer 2014, while a total of seven N117/2400 turbines are being erected to the two Bavarian projects simultaneously.

The N117/2400 with a rotor diameter of 117m and a rotor sweep of 10,715m2 has been specially developed for low-wind sites, while N100/2500 is a 2.5MW wind turbine specially designed for moderate and low wind conditions, the company claims.

Nordex management board member Lars Krogsgaard said the latest wind power orders in Germany justify its product strategy.

"At the same time, we find that many of our regular customers are again opting for Nordex. This shows that we are offering the right services for our customers," added Krogsgaard.
