The Israeli ministry of National Infrastructure is expected to publish an international tender for a privately owned combined-cycle natural-gas fired power plant before the end of this month.
The 350 MWe station is to be built in the Raile-Lod area of the central coastal plain. The project will represent the country’s second private sector power project.
The first, which is to be built at Ramat Hovav in the Negev, is being delayed by legal disputes.
