Located in Postomino municipality, Slawno County, on the East end of West Pomerania Province, the project is expected to generate 184GWh of energy per year, which is enough to power around 80,000 households.
A consortium of Iberdrola and Iberdrola Ingenieria y Construccion was awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract worth €151.4m including three-year warranty service for the project.
The project was developed as part of Tauron’s corporate strategy to add 800MW renewable energy by 2020.
TAURON Ekoenergia CEO Malgorzata Wojcik-Stasiak said the company has commissioned the project on schedule and has received permission to generate electricity on September 6, 2013.
