The projects are expected to boost the electric transmission system in the Chillicothe and Circleville areas.

The company will build the Biers Run-Hopetown-Delano 138kV transmission line, which will connect the Biers Run substation, under construction in Chillicothe, to the existing Delano substation, passing through the proposed Hopetown distribution-level substation.

The transmission line will be developed along the 17.3-mile long route that passes through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Pleasant Valley Wildlife Area.

AEP Ohio will also lay a 19-mile long Biers Run-Circleville 138kV transmission line to connect the Biers Run substation with the existing Circleville substation.
