In Congo, Eni currently produces approximately 110,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

In January, the company started the production from Nené Marine field, which is located in Marine XII Block, approximately 17km from the Congo coast.

Located at a water depth of 28m and close to existing plants, the Nené Marine field can produce from Djeno pre-salt formation 2.5km below the ground level.

The complete field development comprises the production platforms installation and the drilling of over 30 wells, with a plateau of over 140,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd). The first phase of production is anticipated at 7,500 boepd.

Eni also discovered oil and gas recently in the West Melehia deep exploration prospect, located in the Melehia license, in the Western Desert of Egypt.

The company operates exploration and production projects in Angola, Ghana, Gabon, Mozambique, Nigeria, Kenya, Liberia and South Africa.
