The scope of the contract includes the delivery, installation and commissioning of 16 V112-3.3MW wind turbines at the plant and a five-year (Active Output Management) AOM4000 contract, which is a full-scope service contract, consisting of planned and unplanned maintenance and consumables.

Wind turbines are likely to be delivered to Kavakli RES project in the first quarter of 2014, while the commissioning is expected by the second quarter of 2014.

Erciyas vice chairman Emre Erciyas said that Kavakli RES is its first wind power project, which would be ready for installation of Vestas turbines in the first quarter of 2014.

"Vestas’ V112-3.3 MW was able to outperform our expectations and therefore we are proud to announce the very first wind power plant in the country with one of Vestas’ newest products," added Erciyas.

Vestas supplied 640MW of wind power capacity to Turkey since the start of its operations in 1984 in the country.
