The 1,268MW unit is currently operating at 21% of its power and is expected to reach full power production in the next several days, according to the company statement.

During the planned refueling and maintenance outage, FENOC exchanged 280 of the 748 fuel assemblies and performed a number of inspections, improvements, and maintenance activities to ensure safe and reliable operations of the unit.

The work also included replacing three low pressure turbines at the nuclear plant with new turbine rotors featuring an improved blade design.
