The second attack has been reportedly carried out by militants on Monday, reported Reuters.

The Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline is a 600 mile long crude oil export line running from Iraq’s Kirkuk city to Turkey’s Ceyhan port.

Iraqi oil ministry official was quoted by the news agency as saying, "More than one bomb was used to attack the pipeline at around 1:30 local time Monday. The pipeline was severely damaged."

Militants attacked and blew up the Iraqi section of the pipeline on 6 May, resulting in temporary halt of oil flow. The pipeline resumed operations on Sunday, 12 May, while the second attack was made on Monday 13 May.

The pipeline includes two pipes with diameters of 46in and 40in and has a designed capacity of 1,100,000 barrels per day (bpd) and 500,000bpd, respectively.
