The facility, which will cost approximately $1.5bn, will have a power generating capacity of 500MW.

This unit will be located adjacent to the existing 150MW HR Milner power generating station site.

Construction of the plant is scheduled to begin in 2012 and is expected to take approximately three years.

The plant will be equipped with a pulverized coal combustion system, air emissions control equipment, a supercritical high pressure steam generator, a high-efficiency steam turbine generator, a water treatment system and an electrical substation.
