Kirishi power plant located in the town of Kirishi, Kirishsky District, Leningrad Oblast, Russia has an installed capacity of 2,600MW.

As per the agreement, SGTT will provide maintenance of the gas turbines and generators for 12 years, while the first inspection is expected to begin in May.

The contract is result of an ongoing collaboration between Siemens and OGK-2.

Siemens Gas Turbine Technologies CEO Ralph Schneider said, "Sustainable energy growth and development in Russia requires excellent operational service to help ensure the continued reliability of the region’s power supply."

In 2012, OGK-2 repowered Unit 6 of Kirishi power plant by adding two high-efficiency Siemens SGT5-4000F gas turbines to the existing steam turbines and increased the power capacity of the unit from 300MW to 800MW and enhanced efficiency from 38% to 55%.

Fuel consumption of the unit 6 reduced from 324 g/kWh to 220 g/kWh.

The service contract for the combined cycle power plant was announced at the 2013 Russian International Energy Forum.
