The 600kW solar photovoltaic system, with a capacity to feed 2,880kWh into the electrical grid per day, will contribute to the state’s feed-in tariff program.
The facility will support the Hawaiian Clean Energy Initiative, which aims to have 70% of the state’s energy from clean energy sources by 2030.
Construction of the solar facility is expected to be completed by the end of September 2011.
