The plant has been commissioned for BioEnergieCentrale Delfzijl.
According to the terms of the €48m contract, the company will supervise the licensing process and the design & construct of the project’s civil engineering and structural components.
Upon completion, the Delfzijl biomass plant is expected to generate electricity, sufficient to power 120,000 houses in the region.
The project is scheduled to commence operations in 2013.
