The contract includes supply and commissioning of the wind turbines, a VestasOnline Business SCADA system, and a service and maintenance agreement.

Delivery of the turbines, which will be installed near Taishan City of Guangdong Province, is expected in the fourth quarter of this year.

Vestas China president Jens Tommerup said that these orders for the kW-platform indicate that this product delivers a good business case that the company’s Chinese customers value.

Vestas claims that wind power from its turbines currently reduces carbon emissions by more than 40 million tons every year.
