GoviEx Uranium founder and CEO Govind Friedland said that in addition to the ongoing exploration program at Madaouela I, which continues to yield excellent results, the new proceeds will fund, in part, the purchase of specialized drilling rigs dedicated to GoviEx’s other untested, highest-priority tenements, including Anou Melle.

Anou Melle is directly south of, and along trend with, the Somair and Cominak Mine, both principally owned and operated by Areva.

The company said that following the rigs acquisition, the company will move to expedite and expand its exploration program in north-central Niger, a district that already hosts the two highest-grade uranium mines in Africa.
