TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company (TGS) will embark upon its largest ever 3D survey in the Asia-Pacific area in 2014/2015. Nerites Season 2 will encompass 13,000 km2 in the Great Australian Bight over blocks EPP44 and EPP45, which are mainly located in the Bight’s deep-water Ceduna sub-basin. Completion of this project will mean the geoscience company will have 3D data for more than 43,000 km2 of Australia’s offshore region.
Processing will be performed by TGS using its proprietary broadband technology, Clari-FiTM, and final information will be available to clients in Q2 2016.
TGS is also to perform a 2D survey offshore New Zealand and a 3D survey in the West of Shetland region.
