Purpose of the audit
The purpose of the audit was also to assess the technical standard of systems and equipment on West Navigator,cf. regulatory requirements stipulated in Section 25 of the Framework Regulations relating to requirements related to collection of environmental data, Section 4b of the Information Duty Regulations relating to requirements related to safekeeping and discarding of data and Section 16 of the Facilities Regulations relating to instrumentation for monitoring and recording with guidelines and reference to the NORSOK standard N-002. The regulatory requirements also include METAR (Meteorological Aerodrom Reports) observations.
Result of the audit
Five non-conformities were found, as well as five improvement items in relation to the regulatory requirements. In this connection PSA would in particular refer to Section 16 of the Facilities Regulations relating to monitoring and recording with guidelines and reference to the recommended standard NORSOK N-002 for measuring results beyond the tolerances between the operator’s measuring instruments and Met.no’s calibrated traveling standard (measuring equipment).
