Mr Tagliapietra will be responsible for mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and divestment transactions carried out to strengthen and develop the group’s operations in Italy and abroad.

Edison noted that Mr Tagliapietra will bring to the company professional expertise acquired by working for major multinational groups in Italy and abroad.

Beginning in November 2005, he served as CFO for engineering and construction at Techint and as the central director for corporate administration and general affairs at Techint Finanziaria.

Before that, Mr Tagliapietra was the central controller at Fiat Auto. He also worked for about six years at the Pirelli Group where, he began service as controller for the Italian division of Pirelli Cables and Systems.
