The co-operation envisages a test project for the fuel, within which PKN Orlen will ensure the laboratory research of the E95 bio-fuel and Scania Polska will introduce into the Polish market, vehicles specially adapted to bio-ethanol.
Both companies will also jointly carry out the exploitation trials together with local authorities, who are interested in developing eco-transportation. PKN Orlen noted that, authorized R&D laboratories will also be involved in the undertaking.
Thomas Bertlisson, managing director of Scania Polska, said: Scania offers vehicles of the highest utilization efficiency and least possible impact on the environment, and the letter of intent with PKN Orlen marks another step towards the reduction of exhausts.
