Engineering, construction and technical services provider URS has been awarded a contract by the US Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command to provide maintenance, repair and modification services for military vehicles and material handling equipment at the Red River Army Depot in New Boston, Texas.
The contract, which has a one-year base period followed by two one-year options, has a maximum value of $140m to URS, assuming both option years are exercised.
Randall Wotring, president of federal services for URS, said: “We are pleased to have been awarded this contract, which further underscores URS’ expertise in providing a full range of support services to the US military around the world.
We have supported the US Army’s efforts at Red River Army Depot since 1996, and we look forward to continuing to be part of this important work.”
URS offers programme management; planning, design and engineering; systems engineering and technical assistance; construction and construction management; operations and maintenance; and decommissioning and closure services.
