The well, which was drilled to 6,000ft true vertical depth, encountered 64ft of net pay in the Miocene objective with average porosity of 27%.

The well is currently being cased and will then be suspended until the arrival of production equipment.

According to the company, this well confirms the discovery made by the B-02 well, which encountered 62ft of net pay in the Miocene trend with 26% porosity.

Coastal Energy CEO Randy Bartley said the B-04 well further confirmed the Miocene trend at Bua Ban North B and the potential of the Miocene play across the Songkhla basin.
