The negotiations introduced Semco, the Danish affiliate of Telectro, as the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the Guatemalan project. Semco has agreed to an exclusive 10-year engagement for Telectro to operate and maintain the wind farm facility.

Semco and Telectro representatives have reportedly reviewed the new wind turbine technology, engineering, hydrogen systems, along with its technical evaluation and economic efficiency.

Michael Posner, president of Real Logic, said: This Guatemalan project, nearing $100 million, represents a unique opportunity for our clean energy division to have a head start with an existing business relationship in Latin America for our new wind turbine technology systems, just as wind power is striding into international public view as an icon of clean energy that will alleviate shortages of fuel and help stabilize electricity availability and its costs.
