The project is a run-of-the-river development on river Sainj, a tributary of river Beas in Kullu district. It will be completed and commissioned in an estimated 48 months.
HCC will be responsible for planning, design and engineering and execution of civil and infrastructure works; and manufacturing, fabrication, assembling, testing, inspection, transportation, erection, supervision and commissioning of hydro mechanical equipment.
Vinayak Deshpande, president and chief operating officer of HCC, said: “This prestigious contract demonstrates HCC’s EPC expertise in the hydel power development sector. We have further strengthened our robust order book with a significant portion coming from the power segment.”
