The commission will review operator performance issues that occurred as the single-unit boiling-water reactor was being returned to service from a refueling and maintenance outage.
The 685MW power unit, which is owned and operated by Entergy Corp, experienced an automatic shutdown as the reactor was being restarted last week.
The NRC inspection team will, among other things, review plant operator performance, the effectiveness of Entergy’s response to the event and corrective actions taken by the company to date.
