Under the contracts, Siemens Gamesa will provide 63 wind turbines to seven wind farms, located in Navarra with 32 turbines, Valladolid with 4, Zaragoza with 15, Málaga with 9 and Cádiz with 3. The company will also also provide operating and maintenance (O&M) services for the facilities.

For the contracts, the company is installing 42 turbines of SG 3.4-132 model, along with 16 of SG 2.6-114 model and 5 of SG 2.6-126 model.

A significant number of wind turbine blades for the contracts will be manufactured in the plants at Aoiz in Navarra, As Somozas in Galicia and Tangier in Morocco, while the nacelles will be produced at the Ágreda plant in Soria, Spain.

Furthermore, the company is expected to install 32 of SG 3.4-132 model wind turbines and maintain the machines for 10 years at the Cavar wind complex, which will have an installed capacity of 111MW.

Cavar wind complex, located in the municipalities of Cadreita and Valtierra, in Navarra, comprises four wind farms and is co-developed by Iberdrola and Caja Rural de Navarra.

Siemens Gamesa is providing 12 turbines with 32MW capacity for Alfanar Energy. Nine  turbines of SG 2.6-114 model will be supplied for the La Escalereta II farm in Málaga, and 3 turbines of SG 2.6-114 model for the La Estancia wind farm in Cádiz.

The firm has also signed an agreement with Villar Mir Energía for the construction of the 12MW Tablares wind farm and 15MW El Sotillo wind farm in Zaragoza.

For a 21MW wind farm in Pedrola, Zaragoza, the company will deliver 6 of SG 3.4-132 wind turbines to Grupo Jorge. It will also provide maintenance services to the wind farm for 10 years.

Besides, under an agreement with Falck Renewables, it will supply four 11MW SG 2.6-114 turbines for the Carrecastro wind farm in the Valladolid municipalities of Tordesillas and Velilla.

Siemens Gamesa claims that it has sold 1.2GW in Spain since the end of 2017.
