This interval was more than the higher detection limit of 1% copper for the method used on intercepts that was reported in November last year. Now this will be used to finalise the drill database for validation.

The revised intercepts indicate the continuity of mineralisation and geometry of 6 to 10 metre true widths through the high grade shoot on the PF Quartz Vein Zone.

The growing copper values with depth on the PF Quartz vein show the economic feasbility of targeting recovery of copper. Planned work for both resource modelling and preliminary metallurgical work has been revised.

A grade shell for copper will be included into the geologic modelling to define geometry of a block model.

The company also pointed out while copper grades correlate well with gold grade, significant copper intercepts have gone beyond the 0.5 grams per tonne gold cut-off in some drill results.

International Goldfields has till now drilled 77 holes, aggregating 7,675.2 metres at the Ana prospect. It has identified mineralisation on five different vein target areas, with enough drilling completed on the PF Vein target to begin geologic and grade shell modelling for maiden resource estimation on the prospect.
