Benga managing director James Londomu Manda said the proposed power plant is expected to generate between 20MW and 250MW of power.
Currently, the company is carrying out feasibility studies to estimate the cost of the project.
The Electricity Supply Corp. of Malawi currently generates about 287MW, however the total demand is more than 300MW, reports Bloomberg.
