The Sizewell C New Nuclear Build team had met with over 4,000 Britons over the consultation period, and about 100 events had been conducted.

The company will consider and analyze the issues raised by the public. EDF Energy plans to develop detailed proposals with inputs from public for the next stage of consultation.

EDF Energy is planning to build nuclear power project at Sizewell in Suffolk, England. The first state of public consultation on the proposed project began in November 2012.

The Sizewell C Project planning and external affairs director Richard Mayson said the potential impact of the proposed project on local people will be reduced.

"It is important we take the necessary time to review the responses to put along-side the various environmental and socio-economic studies that will inform the detailed plans for Sizewell C," Mayson added.

"We cannot pre-empt the feedback we will have received at Stage 1 and we will keep local communities informed on progress."
