The project aims at looping the existing pipeline system up to 290 miles of 16-inch diameter pipeline as well as pump station modifications to transport natural gas liquids (NGL).

The expansion can accommodate the new natural gas processing plants being constructed in the Uinta, Piceance, and Greater Green River basin.

The project is expected to begin service in the third quarter of 2014, subject to regulatory approval.

Enterprise is in the process of increasing its fractionation capabilities by 75,000 bpd, bringing total capacity at the complex to 3,75,000bpd.

The fractionation is expected to complete in the fourth quarter of 2011.

The MAPL system extends more than 3,000 miles and transports NGLs from the Overthrust and San Juan basin areas to Enterprise’s Hobbs fractionator in Gaines County, Texas.
