Nass & Wind Technologie, a subsidiary of the Nass & Wind Group, develops wind farms on its own behalf and for third parties in France, primarily in Brittany.

Nass & Wind Technologie operates an installed capacity of 34MW. The company has received all the necessary construction permits for 150MW in the short term and owns a project pipeline totaling approximately 1,500MW.

This acquisition is in step with the Gaz de France (GDF) Group’s renewable energy strategy, in particular wind energy. GDF already owns the largest wind farm assets in France, with installed capacity of almost 145MW at the beginning of 2008.

In light of the acquisitions it has carried out, GDF has decided to focus and rationalize the stakes it holds by creating a subsidiary dedicated to renewable energies, GDF Futures Energies.

This company will encompasses all of the subsidiaries and shares owned by GDF in the field of wind power generation including Maia Eolis, Erelia and Eoliennes de la Haute-Lys.
