Mr Wahlborg worked for three years as an engineer with Nynas Pertroleum before he moved to Vattenfall as manager of an electric maintenance department. While at SK Power for two years, he was engaged in the building of the Avedore-2 combined heat plant in Denmark.

He also worked at Vattenfall International, a unit looking at the firm’s investments all over the word. Mr Wahlborg was one of the first representatives of Vattenfall in Poland.

He was responsible for the privatization of GZE, the first Polish distribution company ever to be privatized. After the successful completion, he held the position of sales director and, subsequently, vice president of Vattenfall. In August 2007, he was appointed head of the business unit for sales.
