The company’s integration, if approved by regulators, will expand the MISO footprint to the US states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.

The Entergy region will add about 15,000 miles of transmission lines and 30,000MW of generation capacity to the MISO footprint.

With Entergy as a member, the new MISO footprint will extend from the Canadian border to the Gulf of Mexico.

MISO will feature an improved mix of power generation assets, including coal, natural gas, nuclear, wind, biomass and other sources.

MISO is an independent regional transmission organization that supports the delivery of electricity in 13 US states.
