Following the completion of the front end engineering and design work for the Nyhamna expansion project, the agreement has been adjusted to include an addition of about NOK5bn ($892m).
The six year framework agreement was valued earlier at about NOK6bn ($1bn) and the scope of work included EPCM services for the Ormen Lange/Nyhamna onshore plants located on the west coast of Norway.
The framework agreement has an option to extend for two plus two years.
The Nyhamna gas plant processes natural gas from the Ormen Lange gas field located in the Møre Basin in the southern part of the Norwegian Sea.
Norway-based Kvaerner is the provider of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for offshore platforms and onshore plants.
