Under the contract, Global Partners will use its rail transloading, logistics and transportation system to supply crude oil produced from the Bakken region, North Dakota to Phillips 66’s Bayway refinery in New Jersey.

The company will transport about 50,000 barrels of oil per day to the refinery.

Phillips 66 Commercial, Marketing, Transportation & Business Development executive vice president Tim Taylor said Global Partners provides reliable transportation services of Bakken crude oil.

"Our five-year agreement with Global assures us long-term access to advantaged crude for our Bayway refinery through what we believe is a cost competitive origin-to-destination supply system to the East Coast," Taylor added.

The crude oil produced from Bakken region is expected to be uploaded at the Basin Transload company’s North Dakota rail facilities.

As a part of the partnership between Global Partners and Canadian Pacific, the Bakken crude oil will be loaded on Canadian Pacific’s rail network and transported directly to Global’s terminal in Albany, New York.
