China agreed in May 2009 to lend around $10 billion Transneft and another $15 billion to Rosneft in exchange for 300 million tones of Russian oil to be supplied over the pipeline over 20 years.

The paper added that about 15 million tones of crude every year will be sent to China from Russia upon the conclusion of the pipeline, which is planned for October 2010 and the volume will be raised in the future.

The planned pipeline will move around 67 kilometers in Russia and 960 kilometers in China to end at the Daqing oilfield.
