Proposed to be built in Lublin the plant will cost an estimated €140m ($184.6m) and displace 230,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per annum.
Construction of the plant is scheduled to take 18 months and once complete will employ feedstocks such as straw and wood biomass sourced from farmers in the region.
Tergopower expects to begin construction of the plant in 2014.
