The contract will be formally signed between Gaz de France Norge and IKM Gruppen. Under the contract, 55 contractors will be hired for the operating organizations in Stavanger, Floro and Gjoa platforms.
IKM will also deliver engineering services to the Floro platform. The contract is for a period of five years, with an option to extend it by two years. The contract is worth NOK445 million, including the extension option.
The partners in the Gjoa license are StatoilHydro as the initial operator with a 20% stake, Gaz de France Norge as the operator in the operating phase with 30%, Petoro with 30%, Royal Dutch Shell with 12% and RWE Dea with an 8% stake.
Kjell Ola Jorgensen, Gaz de France Norge’s operations manager for Gjoa, said: Gaz de France Norge looks forward to establishing and developing an effective operating organization for the Gjoa field in collaboration with IKM Gruppen.
