The new office is located on Na Strzi Street in the city’s Pankrac neighborhood, and is in addition to the company’s existing offices at the Temelin Nuclear Power Plant and its Prague business center office.
Westinghouse is also seeking to support an expansion of its existing services to the operating nuclear power plant at Temelin Units 1 and 2.
Kerry Hanahan, director of project development of Westinghouse, Czech Republic, said: ”As the Czech nuclear program continues to progress and grow, Westinghouse is pleased to have an additional office in Prague available to support that growth.
”We are looking forward to furthering existing long-term partnerships, and creating new ones, with our many constituents throughout the Czech Republic.”
In addition to operations in the Czech Republic, Westinghouse has other facilities located throughout the European Union, including Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
Westinghouse is currently engaged in the ongoing tender process for the expansion of the Temelin nuclear site and is offering the AP1000 nuclear power plant.
