The company said that the recent court ruling in the northwestern territory upheld the Yukon Water Board’s decision to reject Western Copper’s plans forcing the exploration company to go back to the drawing board.

According to the company, it is now working with regulators on what changes it should make to get the Carmacks project fully licensed.

In addition, Western Copper has filed notice of appeal with the Yukon Court of Appeal in order to obtain maximum flexibility going forward with its Carmacks project.
