The tender has been announced by the state-owned energy company Termoelectrica, which operates thermal power plants in Romania.
CEZ has also submitted an offer for a strategic partner in the existing plant modernization project and potentially for construction of a new unit at the Galati power plant.
The CEZ Group has been operating in Romania since 2005, when it acquired the distribution and supply company Electrica Oltenia.
