The Jakarta Post cited AKR president director Haryanto Adikoesoemo as saying that development of the projects is expected to begin by 2015 and would be completed in 2018.
"We are currently in the middle of discussions with both local and foreign firms with experience in building power plants to support our plan."
Each of the power plants is expected to generate 2x300MW of power for the company’s Java Integrated Industrial and Port Estate (JIIPE).
Currently in first phase of completion, the industrial estate is expected to be completed in 2023.
AKR and state-owned port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Pelindo III) have partnered for the construction of the integrated industrial estate and formed two joint ventures for the project development.
