The orders include wind turbine delivery, transportation, installation and commissioning, a VestasOnline business SCADA system as well as a five-year service and maintenance agreement. Delivery of the turbines is scheduled to start during the second and third quarters of 2010.

Jens Tommerup, president of Vestas China, said: “These orders mark an important step for Vestas in growing our long-term strategic partnership with this customer. We have been working closely with this customer on wind turbine siting as well as project planning, and we are ready to provide them with full technical support in the execution phase as well.

“The fact that we have a strong technical team, which is capable of providing thorough, comprehensive and expert assistance to our customers, is a decisive factor for a successful cooperation with our partners.”

As of December 31, 2009, Vestas had an accumulated installed capacity of more than 2,000MW in China. The company installed its first wind turbine in China in 1986.
